about

I wrote this song last Friday, 13th March 2020.
Later that night I was chatting with my friend Jason Lytle from the band Grandaddy (who just happens to be my favourite artist/producer ever) and we decided, since we are both in lockdown, to try and record it over the weekend.
I recorded my parts at home on Saturday and emailed them to Jason...he worked his magic and sent it back.
It has helped me to forget, at least for a while, about all the madness going on right now and shown me that being stuck inside can be hard but life can still be beautiful if you free your mind.
If you'd like to have a go at making your own version, you can also download the parts that I sent to Jason. There's a solo vocal and solo piano so you can mute me and do some karaoke.
If you feel like doing something we'd love to see it so just tag it #JasonLytleChallenge
Hope you like the song and that it finds you safe and well...if only in your mind.

THE SINGULARITY

Plug your phone in for a while
Watch the bars go up and smile
Never need to leave your home
These days kids play on their own

It's all around you now
The machines, The Cloud
All surround you now

Is there anyone here
Who can heal the trembling of my heart?
If I show you my fears
Could you heal the trembling of my heart?

Hold on
Hold on disease
